This Art of Protest workshop will use creative writing and other literary methods to explore the importance of political imagination and how it can drive us towards climate solutions.

Our communities and neighbours are struggling against the impossible. Extraordinary costs of groceries, unchecked rental increases and inadequate housing, and fewer employment opportunities.

We know that our changing (and worsening) environment has contributed to these crises. This doesn't have to be our future. What would it mean for Calgary to prioritize our people, our livelihoods, and our ecosystems, not as separate issues but as interconnected?

We invite you to share your vision for a just and liveable Calgary. Join us virtually to share your thoughts and priorities:

🌆 February 12, 5-6PM
🌆 February 19, 12-1PM
🌆 February 26, 5-6PM

Attendees will be entered into a draw to receive a $75 giftcard. RSVP for one of the sessions in our bio.

As we mark Indigenous Veterans Day, we honour the courage, contributions and sacrifices of First Nations, Inuit and Métis people who have served in Canada’s military.

Today, we recognize not only their service and sacrifice, but also the inequities they endured. We honour the stories of those who stood for our country with strength and spirit, even amidst discrimination and the ongoing injustices faced by Indigenous Peoples.

With Remembrance Day approaching on November 11, we invite everyone to take time to listen, learn and reflect on the stories of Indigenous and all veterans. These stories remind us of our shared history and the ongoing work to ensure that every act of service is met with gratitude, respect and justice.
