Protecting Alberta’s fish, wildlife, and natural spaces is a responsibility we all share.

If you witness suspicious activity involving wildlife, fishing, hunting, or damage to public land, make note of the location, time, people, vehicles, and any other details you can safely observe.

Report what you saw through Alberta’s Report A Poacher program so the appropriate officers can investigate.

Family Fishing Weekend is almost here!

On July 11-12, no fishing licence is required, making it a great chance for Albertans and visitors to get out and try fishing. Enjoy Alberta’s lakes, rivers and streams on waterbodies with open fishing seasons (note: this does not include national parks).

Fishing regulations still apply. Our officers will also be out over the weekend to provide information and help ensure everyone can enjoy fishing safely and responsibly.

Yesterday was the 10th anniversary of our partnership with KidSport Calgary as together we raised funds to support children who need financial assistance with sport registration fees and equipment costs. The Brian Burke targets for kids is tremendously successful at increasing access to quality sport programs and the development of children's social, mental and physical well being. We couldn't be more proud to work with Brian Burke... a tireless fundraiser who dedicates his time and resources to support this cause. How fortunate are we to align ourselves with such wonderfully selfless people such as Brian Burke and the good folks at KidSport.

Over 200 Flames alumni and senior management, celebrities from numerous sports genres, corporate Calgary, and the many participants, coaches, range officers and volunteers who gathered in fun and camaraderie around such a wonderful cause! Looking forward to next year and thank you to all involved!
