When people hear about Stonewall Recovery, they often picture a building.

What we’re building is much bigger than that.

We’re creating a space grounded in dignity, belonging, community, and recovery.

A place where people can access support without having to hide who they are.

We’re not quite there yet, but we’re getting closer every day.

Thank you to everyone who has helped bring this vision to life.

Recovery shouldn’t require hiding who you are.

For many people, the decision to pursue recovery isn’t the hardest part.

The hardest part can be wondering whether you’ll be accepted when you get there.

Will I belong here?

Will I have to explain who I am?

Will I be safe?

These are questions many people ask before they ever walk through the door.

At Stonewall Recovery, we believe everyone deserves access to care that is grounded in dignity, community, and belonging.

Why does Stonewall Recovery exist?

It’s a question worth asking.

Across Canada, many 2SLGBTQIA+ people continue to face barriers when accessing addiction and recovery support. For some, those barriers are obvious. For others, they’re the quiet questions that show up before they ever walk through the door:

Will I be respected?

Will I have to explain who I am?

Will I belong here?

Recovery starts with trust. Trust starts with safety.
