MEOW Foundation Founded in 2000, MEOW Foundation is a cat-focused registered charity and humane society with a no-kill mandate located in Calgary, Canada.

MEOW Foundation is a Calgary-based no-kill registered charity that rescues and adopts stray and abandoned cats, and provides valuable community programs.

*Please note, visits are by appointment only* We rescue and facilitate the adoption of stray and abandoned cats into new, loving permanent homes. We work hard to match each MEOW cat with the best possible home based on his or her personality, history, habits and individual needs. In addition to our Rescue and Adoption program, MEOW Foundation offers a subsidized Spay Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP), Cat Food Assistance Program and Trap Neuter Return (TNR) Program. Our volunteers and staff are passionate about providing the best care to every cat and dedicated to providing the best services to our supporters. We believe that through the dedication and compassion of people across the planet, we will create a society that respects the animals with whom we share the world. Together we can Make Each One Wanted.

This is Ranger's third attempt to be home for the holidays. 💙

He has been in MEOW's care since January 12, 2024, and he still has hope that he will find his forever family at last! Ranger loves to play and will sleep by your feet. He needs a human friend that understands cat body language and petting thresholds.

Due to Ranger's time as a tough street guy, he has contracted Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Cats with FIV should be single cats in the home, but can live long happy lives with normal attentive care.

Sprinkler came looking for a meal. He may just have found his way home. 💙

This handsome black fellow first appeared at one of MEOW’s TNR community feeding stations, where an observant caregiver quickly noticed the new guy on the block.

Once Sprinkler was safe, warm, and fed, his friendly and affectionate personality began to shine. Now, this green-eyed gentleman with the distinctive curled ear is ready to leave outdoor life behind for good.

All he needs is a forever home where he can be the one and only cat. Learn more and apply to adopt Sprinkler today: https://meowfoundation.com/adopt/

📅 ‘Tis the season to buy your 2027 Cat Calendar! 📅

Each and every calendar sold helps stray and abandoned cats in Calgary. Our 2027 cover star is Ikat! This stunning lady was cared for by a kind neighbour for a month while they searched for an owner, but to no avail, and so she found a bed at MEOW. Ikat was selected to go down to the Regal Cat Café and that's where she met her forever human!

Your purchase helps more cats like Ikat get their second chance.

Since being adopted, Breyers has got a super cute new style (let her in the comments know that she's looking fabulous).

Every day she's playing with her toys and finding her next favourite cardboard box!

Mr. Potato Head is officially retiring from life on the streets. 💙

After spending his life outdoors, this handsome survivor came to MEOW through our TNR program. But his story took an unexpected turn, and now Mr. Potato Head has traded his street-cat status for a spot in our adoption program—and a chance at the pampered life he deserves.

With one ragged ear up, one frostbitten ear down, brilliant blue eyes, and that unmistakable nose blaze, Mr. Potato Head wears a few reminders of where he’s been. Now, this shy gentleman is looking for a calm, mature home with someone patient enough to show him just how good indoor life can be.

He’s done surviving. It’s time for Mr. Potato Head to start living. Learn more and apply to adopt him here: https://meowfoundation.com/adopt/
