CCYYC Partner Spotlight!

We’re proud to feature HERConnect Initiative, an organization dedicated to transforming mental healthcare for Calgary’s Black immigrant community, at no cost.

HERConnect tailors its services to the unique needs and experiences of African and Caribbean women and girls and their families, creating a safe and supportive space where they can feel heard, understood, and supported through difficult times.

We’re incredibly proud of the work HERConnect does and grateful to have them as a partner at Community Connect YYC. 💙

We’re excited to continue our conversation with YWCA Calgary and share more about their Safe Futures for Families group.

In this video, Karen talks about how violence and abuse can be experienced differently by every individual. No matter what form abuse takes, it can have a real and lasting impact. The facilitators use specific guidelines to help participants share and explore their perspectives in a way that feels safe, supportive, and respectful.

We’re so happy to partner with YWCA Calgary and to highlight the important work they’re doing in our community. We’re grateful for the opportunity to help share more about the programs and support they offer.

We sat down with YWCA Calgary to learn more about their Safe Futures for Families program and the important work they’re doing in our community.

Safe Futures for Families helps people recognize patterns of abusive behaviour and better understand the stages they may experience when navigating it. When life gets busy, it can be difficult to recognize these patterns or understand how they may be affecting us.

The program focuses on grounding ourselves, understanding our emotions, reconnecting with our values, and finding ways to live those values every day. These tools can help us build healthier, more fulfilling lives and move toward positive change.

We’re proud to partner with YWCA Calgary and help shine a light on this incredible program.

At Community Connect YYC, we believe support should be available when you need it, not just during office hours.

That’s why our website is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, making it easy to find the support you need and book an appointment online, whenever it works for you.

And our numbers show just how important that flexibility is. 29% of our bookings happen outside regular work hours, between 6 PM and 8 AM.

Whenever you’re ready, we’re here to help.

We sat down with Canadian Centre for Men and Families - Alberta to chat about their Individual Counselling for Men program.

This program recognizes that men often heal in different ways. Built on a strengths-based approach, it supports men in managing complex emotions like anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem challenges, and everyday stress. By putting men's needs at the forefront, it promotes emotional well-being, resilience, and personal growth.

We're proud to partner with CCMF Alberta and highlight the incredible work they do in our community.
