When rehabilitation is done right, it can return land to usable conditions and support future community needs.

Planning for what comes next is just as important as the extraction itself.

Who pays for the wear and tear on local roads?

The transportation of aggregate to market is essential to our communities, but it also creates real pressure on municipal infrastructure, especially along haul routes.

Over time, these costs accumulate. And they shouldn’t fall on local taxpayers.

The TOARC levy is meant to help offset this impact, but it needs to reflect the true cost of maintaining roads and infrastructure.

Communities deserve a system that is fair, transparent, and sustainable.
