BCIT Alumni Association

BCIT has more than 205,000 alumni and approximately 5,000 new graduates each year.

BCIT is one of British Columbia’s largest post-secondary institutions with more than 45,000 students enrolled annually. We offer practical career credentials designed for the workplace, including degrees, diplomas and certificates spanning Applied and Natural Sciences, Business and Media, Computing and Information Technology, Engineering, Health Sciences and Trades. Established in 1964, BCIT now h

as five main campuses as well as satellite locations province-wide. BCIT’s international partnerships span training, education and research initiatives in South America, Central America, East Asia and Eastern Europe.

On October 29th, the BCIT: British Columbia Institute of Technology will honour five exceptional community members at the 2026 BCIT Vision Awards.

• Jordon Gabriel, Community Relations & Forestry Manager, Lil'wat Forestry Ventures – BCIT Distinguished Alumni Award
• Mike Battistel, President, Cascadia Windows – BCIT Faculty and Staff Association Distinguished Alumni Award
• Simone Chiang, Master of Engineering in Smart Grid Systems and Technologies – BCIT Outstanding Student Leadership Award
• Andrey Lykov, Master of Engineering in Building Science, Building Science Consultant, RDH Building Science – BCIT Outstanding Student Leadership Award

These five honourees are being recognized for their leadership, innovation, community impact, and contributions to BCIT and beyond. Their incredible accomplishments reflecting who we are, what we do, and the ways and community leaders are making a difference locally and internationally.

🎓That's a wrap on BCIT Convocation 2026!

This past June, over 2,500 graduates, across six schools, crossed the convocation stage and joined our global community of more than 215,000 alumni.

Congratulations to BCIT alumna Stephanie Cadieux on being appointed to the Order of British Columbia. As our province’s highest honour, recipients are recognized for their extraordinary leadership, innovation, and contribution to British Columbia and beyond.

A graduate of BCIT’s Financial Planning program, Stephanie has made immense impact through her advocacy and dedication to advancing accessibility, inclusion, and equal opportunity for people with disabilities. Serving as Canada’s first Chief Accessibility Officer, Stephanie has been a champion for empowerment, leading systemic change through public policy and engagement to help build a better tomorrow.

We are proud to celebrate Stephanie and the incredible contributions she has made through her work.
