Fall plans, but make them good for the planet 🍂
Join us for Stewardship Day on October 25 at J.C. Saddington Park in Mississauga for two free, hands-on workshops focused on supporting local wildlife and learning more about the species around us.

9:00 AM to 1:30 PM
Build and paint your own birdhouse, learn about local bird species, and join a bird watching hike by the lakeshore.
🐝 Build a Bee Hotel Workshop
2:00 PM to 4:30 PM
Build and paint your own bee hotel while learning about bees and other local pollinators.
Attendees will also receive free tote bags, and since it’s almost Halloween, you’re welcome to come dressed as your favourite pollinator!

Have you ever walked into a thrift store, looked around, and thought, “I’m not finding anything”?

We’ve been there!

Our members shared some of their favourite secondhand finds to show that taking a little extra time to look can pay off. 👕✨

Thrifting is also a simple way to help keep clothing in use for longer and give pre-loved items another chance instead of immediately buying new.

What’s the best thrifted item you’ve ever found? ♻️

Climate action starts in our communities. 🌎🧤

For World Cleanup Day, we’re highlighting one simple way to get involved: taking part in a local cleanup. Picking up litter may seem like a small action, but caring for our shared spaces helps build stronger environmental awareness and encourages more people to take action where they live.

This World Cleanup Day, consider joining a cleanup in your community or organizing one with friends, family, or neighbours. Every action counts when we take it together. 💚🌱
