Not sure what deputations are or how to get involved?

Deputations are one of the most direct ways residents can participate in Council decisions and speak up on issues that matter to them.
If you care about what happens in your city, this is your chance to make your voice heard.

On May 13th, Mississauga City Council will be hearing deputations on whether to endorse the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Send a message to City Council asking them to support the motion through the link in our bio, or sign up to depute by emailing [email protected]

The Community Climate Council’s 5th Anniversary Mixer was recently featured on OMNI Television Punjabi!

Held on March 1, 2026, at the Peel Art Gallery Museum and Archives in Brampton, the event brought together community members and partners to celebrate five years of climate action and collaboration.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to share our work and highlight the importance of community-driven climate solutions. 🌱

Today is Earth Day 🌍

When astronauts look back at Earth from space, many describe a shift in perspective. Known as the Overview Effect, it highlights just how connected, fragile, and shared our planet really is.

In light of ongoing space exploration through NASA’s Artemis missions, we wanted to share a few reflections from astronauts who have experienced this perspective firsthand.

From above, there is only one Earth, one system, and one future.

These reflections are a reminder that climate action is, at its core, about people, community, and the shared responsibility we all have to care for the place we call home.

Did you know forests support over 86 million jobs worldwide? 🌲

They provide essential resources like food and fuel for billions of people and help fight climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide. However, unsustainable wood harvesting and deforestation are threatening these vital ecosystems.

Learning about these impacts is the first step toward protecting our forests and supporting a more sustainable future 🌍
