Bonnyville Gear Grabbers Car Club is a non-profit, volunteer based, organization controlled by its members that is dedicated to providing a safe and suitable atmosphere for enthusiast’s and their families, while promoting friendship, helping fellow club’s & organization’s, supporting local charities and to provide enthusiasts with a clean, local, organized car club while gaining public interest in

the hobby we all love. Established in 2011 with a few members, the club hopes to expand and grow to be a key part of the Bonnyville community for years to come.

🚨 Calling ALL heads up racers!🚨 You guys asked, and we’re delivering!

Saturday’s Street Car Grudge Class will now have a 1st place $4000 guaranteed minimum payout… thanks to Hometown Frame & Collision and & J. Luciak Mechanical Ltd. for sponsoring the payout!

Sundays open grudge class winner will receive the entire entry pot for the day!

As we have seen in the last few years of running grudge class… it’s not always the lightest car, or the guy with the most HP that wins. We prep the lanes to the best of our abilities but due to the type of surface at the Bonnyville airstrip it can be a real challenge to put horsepower down!

GRUDGE RULES:

SATURDAY July 4th STREET LEGAL GRUDGE
-Tagged/Registered Vehicles Only. No other restrictions... Small tire, big tire, forced induction, NA, we don’t care!
-Must make a quick cruise with your race vehicle into Bonnyville and take a photo in front of our two lane sponsors (NAPA & Overdrive HD). This is approx. a 13km round trip... All paved. We encourage you to make the cruise Friday evening after our Show & Shine or time will be allotted Saturday morning. Photo must be posted on our page or shown to our Racemaster prior to entering grudge.
-1st place winner receives $4000 cash AND a custom banner!

SUNDAY July 5th OPEN CLASS GRUDGE
-Anything and everything goes. (Chassis cars, street cars, altered, etc etc)
-Street cars are welcome to take a shot at the big boys!
-1st place winner receives ALL the $40 entry fees and a custom banner!

GENERAL RULES FOR BOTH DAYS
-.400 pro tree
-“heads up” even start
-1/8th Mile
-NO CRY BABIES 😉
-Chip draws for pairings.
-1st place prize for the winner of each day

$40 entry( per day) on top of the standard $60 (per day) event entry fee will apply to enter Grudge…. Keep in mind you can still race in the bracket classes!

Racers who Pre-Register will automatically be entered into a draw for a Gear Grabbers t-shirt package!

WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH OUR TEST & TUNE?🤔

-This is a FUN & very laid back TEST & TUNE event with no real set schedule. You will get LOTS of runs if you want em! We will be doing a combination of time trials, bracket racing and heads up/grudge racing etc. If time permits we will try to run a fun elimination race at the end of the day.

-First timers, amateurs, and experienced racers all welcome & encouraged! If you've never raced before but have been contemplating trying it out, this is the PERFECT event to get your feet wet!

-GATES & TECH open at 7am (Follow the signs once you turn east onto the airport road)

-You must enter the gates by 10am at the latest to get your ride registered and through tech.

-$60 Fee Per Race Vehicle (cash only)

-If you want to bring a pit member along with you, or immediate family you can. We will not charge them entry. Keep in mind for this private event there will be no grand stands or places to sit.

-This is a RACERS ONLY event, & not open to the public. If you have a friend or know someone that wants to race tell them to come out! Our public race weekend runs July 3rd to 5th.

THIS SATURDAY! The Bonnyville Flying Club is hosting an Aviation Expo & Career Fair May 23, 2026 at the Municipal District of Bonnyville Regional Airport! ✈️

The Flying club has always been a GREAT supporter of our activities at the airport, so let’s show them the same support in return!

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., learn about the aviation industry, check out airplane, helicopter, and RC aircraft displays, and enjoy a barbecue lunch. See the poster for more details.

Bracket classes will now receive a 1st place $500 payout per class, per day! And yes you can enter both grudge and bracket if you’d like! For those of you who want to do both heads up racing and bracket racing on a VERY challenging airport surface or just get in extra hits, this is your chance!
