Out of an abundance of caution, the Town of Bonnyville has made the decision to move Party in the Park activities during Canada Day to the Bonnyville and District Centennial Centre.

The weather forecast currently has the Town of Bonnyville under a rainfall warning this weekend and more rain projected to happen the beginning of next week. The decision to move Party in the Park activities indoors was made to ensure everyone can celebrate comfortably.

This change of venue won’t stop the celebrations. Food trucks, the Bonnyville Farmer’s Market, B**r Gardens, kids’ entertainment, the balloon man, and more will all still be happening. Canadian rock icons Prism and Streetheart will take the stage at 8 p.m. and 9:45 p.m., respectively.

Fireworks are still planned for dusk, weather permitting. The launch location is currently being finalized and will be shared as soon as that information is available.

Any vendors who are scheduled to be part of festivities that haven’t heard from the Town, please call 780-826-3496.
