Honor a beautiful tradition and create a powerful statement of remembrance. This workshop isn't just about crafting a ribbon skirt—it's a journey into Indigenous heritage, guided by Métis artisans. You'll gain a profound skill and a sense of sisterhood, while creating a personal symbol of strength and resilience. By incorporating the color orange or adding orange ribbons your skirt can be a powerful and visible tribute to the children of the residential school system, making your commitment to Truth and Reconciliation a part of your regalia.

CIER has developed the Indigenous Youth Energy Champion Accelerator (IYECA), a 6-month educational and creative journey, designed by the Energy InSites team. The IYECA program aims to support passionate Indigenous youth to launch their career in the energy field!

IYECA offers education, certification, mentoring, and financial support of up to $25,000 for youth who are passionate about sharing their community’s energy story while leading toward a brighter future. IYECA is a 6-month commitment from participants, spanning approximately September 2025 to March 2026 (subject to change slightly).

The goal of IYECA is to promote the passion and leadership of Indigenous youth aged 18 to 30 in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Northwest Territories. Participants will express creativity through a community-informed zine, showcasing a variety of Indigenous energy perspectives.

No prior energy knowledge, experience, or education is required—just a passion and willingness to learn and express yourself creatively!

Applications close by the end of day on September 1, 2025. There are limited spots available, so apply as soon as possible!

For more details visit the Energy InSites webpage or apply to IYECA directly by completing this Jot form https://form.jotform.com/251744057527056
