🎪 Behind the Festival: It Takes a Village

Ever wonder what it takes to bring Puppets Up! to life?

The answer is simple: our community.

For the 2026 festival, we'll have approximately 400 volunteer shifts to fill across a wide variety of roles. From welcoming guests and helping audiences find their seats to supporting performers and keeping the festival running smoothly, every volunteer helps create the magic.

We're fortunate to already have an incredible group of volunteers signed up, but we're still searching for a few more volunt-heroes to join the roster! 🦸‍♀️🎭

They say it takes a village to raise a child.....similarly, it takes a community like Mississippi Mills to build a festival like ours. We would LOVE to hear from you.

Kick off Pride Month with an afternoon of connection, creativity, and community spirit! We're thrilled to share that we've been granted a road closure for the occasion, so we're taking it to the streets! The Pride flag raising and remarks begin at 12 PM, followed by our outdoor community marketplace from ~12:30 PM. All are welcome, free to attend, and drop in anytime.
