“No Open Fires” signs have been posted throughout Blakeney Park. Thanks to Mississippi Mills Fire Dept for the signs and their support.

A reminder to Blakeney Park users: Open fires are not allowed in the park at any time. Existing fire pits have been dismantled and signs will be installed throughout the park this week to help protect our beautiful green space. Please share this post to get the word out.

AFGA is proud to support the Eastern Ontario Youth Hunt Collaborative through a donation of $500. Presenting the cheque to EOYHC member Jim Tye, are President of the AFGA, Tony Jones, and Vice-President, Paul LaForce. Donation funds were made possible through community support at AFGA’s 40th annual banquet held in February.

What a great celebration and turnout for our 40th annual banquet held on Feb. 28! Thank you to everyone who donated, attended, and helped out to make this one of our best events yet. We truly couldn’t do it without all of you.

We’re excited to announce our 40th anniversary banquet is being held Saturday, February 28th and we have some great prizes up for grabs! Yesterday’s glamorous Blakeney Park lineup: tree planting, garbage pickup, bathroom scrubbing, and bench pad pouring. 💪

Big shout-out to Mark Costello at ACE Country & Garden for the sweet deal on the trees, Branje Metal Works for the cement mixer loan, and the hard-working AFGA members—couldn’t have pulled off our “extreme makeover: park edition” without you! 👏
