🌞 Seniors Trip Alert! 🐉

Join us on Saturday, June 20th for a fun summer outing to the Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival at Mooney’s Bay!

Experience the excitement of race day, enjoy the lively festival atmosphere, and relax by the water with friends. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair for seating. Food vendors will be available on-site, or feel free to pack your own lunch.

🚌 Transportation by school bus
📍 Departure:
• 9:00 AM – Almonte
• 9:30 AM – Carleton Place

Seniors Trip – Ottawa Tulip Festival 🌷
Saturday, May 9

Join us for a wonderful day exploring the Ottawa Tulip Festival! Participants will also have the option to attend the Opening Ceremony (11:00 AM – 12:00 PM), featuring a Remembrance Ceremony honouring veterans from the Second World War to today, including a cannon salute and CF-18 flyover.

Departure Times:

9:00 AM – Almonte
9:30 AM – Carleton Place

Return: Around 2:30 PM

Transportation: School Bus
Cost: $10

Volunteer Opportunity!

The Town of Carleton Place, in coordination with Carebridge Community Support, provides a year-round seniors’ Active Living Centre, commonly known as “The Station”. The Station offers social, recreational, fitness and educational programs. It serves as a hub for seniors to stay active and connected.

The Station is recruiting 2 volunteers to assist the coordinator with the day-to-day activities including: greeting seniors; welcoming and providing an orientation of the facility and an overview of programming to seniors; socializing with seniors; and initiating activities.

If you’re looking to add something meaningful and fun to your week and you’re 55 and older, gregarious, sociable and a people person, and are interested in finding out more about volunteering at The Station, please send an email to
