🌞 Good Morning, Friends!
Today we have bittersweet news to share.
Our wonderful Treasurer, Eileen, has made the decision to relocate. While we are incredibly sad to see her go, we are so grateful for everything she has contributed to Airdrie Meals on Wheels. Eileen has been an amazing team player, a dedicated volunteer, and a true blessing to our organization. We wish her nothing but happiness and success in this exciting new chapter. ❤️

With Eileen's departure, we are now looking for our next Volunteer Treasurer to join our Executive Board.
If you have approximately 8 hours a month to give and would like to use your financial and organizational skills to make a meaningful difference in your community, we'd love to hear from you!
Responsibilities include:
✔️ Accounts receivable and bank deposits
✔️ Bank reconciliations
✔️ Checking our post office mailbox
✔️ Accounts payable and ensuring expenses are paid on time
✔️ Preparing and presenting monthly financial reports at Board meetings
✔️ Supporting community events and helping raise awareness of the essential services Airdrie Meals on Wheels provides
We're looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a supportive team and believes in giving back to our community. Every member of our Board is an ambassador for the clients we serve.

When we eat alone day after day, it’s easy to skip meals or rely on basic snacks instead of proper, balanced nutrition.

At Airdrie Meals on Wheels, we deliver so much more than prepared nutritious meals.

Our volunteer drivers bring a friendly face, a warm smile, and an unofficial wellness check right to the front door.

With nourishment comes ability to stay independent longer in their own living space.

Deliveries are customizable for each client to ensure food waste does not become the next problem.

🍽️ Who Qualifies for Airdrie Meals on Wheels?

Many people assume Meals on Wheels is only for seniors, but our service supports a variety of Airdrie residents who need a helping hand.

Are you or someone you know:
✅ A senior who is finding grocery shopping or meal preparation difficult?
✅ Being discharged from the hospital and needing nutritious meals while recovering?
✅ Living with a chronic illness?
✅ Recovering from an illness, injury, or surgery?
✅ Temporarily unable to cook for yourself or a loved one?

Our goal is simple: to ensure Airdrie residents who are unable to shop and prepare meals have access to nutritious, delicious food. By providing meal support, we help seniors remain independent in their own homes longer and offer peace of mind during life's challenging moments.
