WOW! What a day! 🎉

Walk to Compassion was filled with smiling faces, amazing youth, supportive families, dedicated community members, and generous door sponsors who helped make the event such a success.

Because of the incredible support from our family, friends, sponsors, and community, YVC Airdrie raised over $6,000! 💙

Thank you for walking alongside us and helping create brighter opportunities for youth in our community. We couldn’t do it without you!

Today, YVC Airdrie recognizes National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

We honour the survivors of residential schools, remember the children who never came home, and reflect on the ongoing journey toward healing, understanding, and reconciliation. 🧡

🌱 Greenhouse Project Update! 🌱

A huge thank you to Field Law for their generous support and donation toward this food sustainability project. Your investment in our community is helping bring this vision to life.

We’d also like to recognize Men’s Shed for their exceptional contribution, craftsmanship, and skills throughout this project. The quality of work has been outstanding, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their dedication.

This morning, Kristen met with Bob at the greenhouse to review the latest progress, and all she can say is... WOW! 🤩

The greenhouse is coming together beautifully, and the work completed so far is absolutely amazing. The attention to detail and craftsmanship are evident in every aspect of the build.

The greenhouse should be completed this week!

Thank you to all of the partners, volunteers, and supporters who have helped make this food
sustainability project a reality.

Together, we’re creating something that will benefit our community for years to come. 🌿

It’s a perfect day for soup! 🥣❄️

Swing by the Empty Bowls Festival today between 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM to support the Airdrie Food Bank. Enjoy a delicious warm bowl of soup, stay cozy on this brisk day, and take home your very own bowl!

Great food, a great cause, and a great way to support our community. See you there! 😊

🌿 What a beautiful evening to close out our Garden Nights season!

A huge thank you to Kent from Kent | Mosh Pit Meadows for spending the evening with us and teaching our youth all about raspberry bushes and the joys of growing food.

We were also thrilled to welcome some very special guests from Joe. Meet Bonnie and Izzy! These beautiful horses gave our youth a chance to connect, learn, and create some unforgettable memories. Thank you, Joe!

The gardens were busy as we harvested an abundance of fresh produce in preparation for AOTH this Saturday. 🍅🥒🌽

To top it all off, we ended the night with a picnic celebration, reflecting on another amazing season and sending off our incredible youth with full hearts.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Garden Nights so special. 💚

What a great night at the food bank! 💙

We had a wonderful mix of returning pros and first-time volunteers, and everyone jumped right in and made a difference. Together, we sorted nearly 2 full bins while sharing stories, laughter, and plenty of smiles along the way. 😊

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and gave their time to support our community!

What a great night! 🎉

A huge thank you to Cindy for teaching our group about volunteering with seniors. Our kids were incredibly respectful and curious, asking thoughtful questions and learning so much along the way.

Fun fact: Did you know ACC is pet-friendly for residents? 🐶🐱

To wrap up the evening, the kids enjoyed their very own bingo night. There were lots of laughs, great conversations, and just a little friendly competition! ❤️

What a great couple of nights with our YVC crew! 💙

Thursday night at Abrio was full of fun and laughter as the youth learned a new game, Aggravation. Let’s just say their competitive sides definitely came out! 😆🎲

We were also lucky to have a very special little helper during our bingo time. She kept everyone on track and made the evening even more enjoyable. ❤️

Then on Friday night, our monthly meeting focused on creativity and purpose as YVCers worked together to create promotional videos for the upcoming Walk for Compassion on September 20. 🎥👟

We’re excited to see the impact these young leaders continue to make in our community!
