Celebrating a Wonderful Year of Friendship & Learning 💙

Residents of Big Hill Lodge recently enjoyed a lovely year-end tea with the Leadership Students from Cochrane Christian Academy.

Throughout the year, students and residents worked side by side on a special recipe book project, sharing favourite recipes, stories, and plenty of laughter along the way. At the tea, everyone received a copy of the finished cookbook—a wonderful keepsake celebrating the connections and memories made together.

While the group wished the students a happy and well-deserved summer break, there was plenty of excitement knowing that all of the students would be returning in the fall to continue building these meaningful friendships.

A heartfelt thank you to the students and staff of Cochrane Christian Academy for another fantastic year of intergenerational learning, kindness, and community. We can't wait to welcome everyone back in September! ❤️

Residents were recently wowed by a special presentation from the Medicine River Wildlife Society featuring Owl Otto and his handler, Todd. Everyone loved learning more about these incredible birds and getting an up-close look at such a majestic creature.

🧶💙 The talented knitting group at Rocky View Lodge has been hard at work once again, creating these absolutely beautiful handmade afghans!

Not only are they stunning, but they would certainly keep anyone warm and cozy during these chilly spring days. 🌷❄️

Residents from Abrio Place recently enjoyed a wonderful outing to the Airdrie Regional Museum, where they spent the day exploring local history, reminiscing about the past, and sharing stories and memories together. 🏛️

From historic photographs and artifacts to learning more about how the community has grown over the years, the visit sparked plenty of conversation and laughter among residents and staff alike.

Outings like these are a meaningful way to stay connected to the community while creating new memories together. A big thank you to the Airdrie Museum for the warm welcome and enjoyable experience!

This past Mother’s Day, Abrio Place took a moment to celebrate the incredible mothers, grandmothers, caregivers, and women who have helped shape generations with their love, strength, and kindness.

Residents enjoyed a wonderful day filled with smiles, sweet treats, laughter, and meaningful memories shared together. From stories of motherhood to cherished family traditions, it was a beautiful reminder of the important role mothers play in all of our lives.

Creativity was in full bloom at Rocky View Lodge during a recent card making class led by volunteer Ann. 💌🎨

Residents enjoyed spending time together designing and creating beautiful handmade cards while sharing laughs, conversation, and plenty of creativity along the way.

Activities like these not only encourage self-expression but also create meaningful opportunities for connection and community within the lodge.

A heartfelt thank you to Ann for volunteering her time and talents to make the afternoon so special for our residents. 💜
