Recently, children from Mercy Center for Women had the opportunity to travel to Pittsburgh with Attorneys & Kids Together (AKT), the Erie County Law Foundation’s signature community project. Since 2000, AKT has worked to support the educational needs of students experiencing homelessness through meaningful learning opportunities and mentorship.

During their trip, the children and volunteer attorneys spent the day exploring the Kamin Science Center, enjoying hands-on exhibits, interactive experiences, and plenty of opportunities to learn through play and discovery- they even explored a real life submarine!

We are incredibly grateful to Attorneys & Kids Together and the dedicated volunteers who make experiences like this possible. These special outings help our children build confidence, explore new interests, and create lasting memories.

📣 Erie Gives season is officially underway!

As of this week, the The Erie Community Foundation is now accepting check and stock gifts for Erie Gives 2026 (now through August 4th!)

This year, Mercy Center for Women is raising funds for MACC West, our newest permanent supportive housing project that will transform the former Sacred Heart School into safe, stable housing for individuals experiencing homelessness.

Every gift moves us one step closer to opening new doors.

☀️ Our 3rd Annual Perry Square Picnic is just around the corner! 💙

Join Mercy Center for Women on Wednesday, June 10 beginning at 11 AM at Perry Square for a free community picnic open to anyone in need. Come enjoy lunch, connect with neighbors, and spend time together in the heart of downtown Erie. Food will be served until gone.
