Our local retail partners make an enormous difference in keeping the MACC Food Pantry stocked.

Last year alone, we received 72,283 pounds of food through store donations, including support from partners like Wegmans and ALDI USA .

That food goes from local stores to our pantry shelves—and ultimately home with neighbors who need it.

Today on National Food Bank Day, we’re celebrating the businesses and community partners who help make sure good food feeds people instead of going to waste.

A partnership that continues to grow.

As we celebrate National Food Bank Day, Mercy Center for Women Executive Director Jennie Hagerty and Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania CEO Greg Hall are also looking ahead to the future.

The partnership between Mercy Center for Women and Second Harvest has helped the MACC Food Pantry serve thousands of our neighbors and distribute tens of thousands of pounds of food each year. And as MACC West takes shape, we’re excited about the opportunities to expand that partnership and bring greater access to nutritious food and resources to another Erie neighborhood.

That’s how much food the MACC Food Pantry received from Second Harvest Food Bank of NW PA last year!

As a Second Harvest satellite location and Healthy Choices Pantry, this partnership helps us provide our neighbors with a wide variety of nutritious foods throughout the year.
Today on National Food Bank Day, we are especially grateful for Second Harvest and the incredible work they do to help organizations like ours fight hunger right here in Northwest Pennsylvania. đź’ś

Come take a tour of the MACC Food Pantry ! 🥫🍎🥛

Last year, this space helped provide nutritious food to 743 families and 2,891 individuals in our community.

As a Healthy Choices Pantry and satellite location for Second Harvest Food Bank of NW PA, we offer a variety of fresh, frozen and shelf-stable foods so our neighbors can choose items that work for their households.
