The Mercyhurst Seminary/Preparatory School Alumni Association works to foster a closer relationship with and among alumni in order to advance the MPS mission: "To prepare students from all religious and ethnic backgrounds for a successful, productive, and compassionate life in an ever-changing and interdep

endent world." This Association wants to establish and maintain links with current and future alumni, thus encouraging loyalty, volunteerism, and a close connection to the school. The Alumni Association undertakes service projects and recognizes distinguished alumni for their service. Moreover, the management of the Association is vested in a Board of Governors.

Mercyhurst Prep is hosting our Fall Sports Middle School Nights beginning with our home football game on September 11, 2026. All students from the Erie Catholic School System, Erie Day School, Luther Memorial Academy, and Erie City and County public schools are welcome.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Scott Hinterleiter, a valued member of the MPS staff and one of our football coaches. Scott made a lasting impact on our students, athletes, colleagues, and community through his dedication, leadership, and kindness. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Please keep Scott’s family, friends, and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult time. Thank you for your support and for honoring Scott’s memory.

Yesterday was another great day for Mercyhurst Girls Golf!

The team brought home a 2nd-place finish at the Cable Hollow Tournament in Warren, PA, and there was plenty to celebrate!

Morgan Eastman made a spectacular hole-in-one on Hole #13 (Pictured)
Addison Fox carded a personal-best 90
Kendyl Konkol recorded a personal-best 101
Morgan and Laina both finished in the Top 8
