Organizing workshops, plays, and groups for others is a rewarding thing. Sometimes though, it leaves a paradoxical longing for connection- with peers, with others who can relate to the good and bad sides, and find collaborations and things in common. Recharge by simply being together.

🌿 Find your voice. Feel what’s real.

This June, six people from Bulgaria joined Authentic Voices, a 9-day Erasmus+ youth exchange in Latvia focused on mental health, self-expression and connection.

Through music, voice practices, improvisation, movement and embodiment, participants explored new ways of expressing themselves while strengthening confidence, emotional awareness, listening, public speaking and authentic communication. 🎶

The project wasn’t about performing perfectly or having the “right” answer. It was about creating space to experiment, reflect, connect with others and listen a little more closely to what is happening inside.

And judging by the words participants brought home, something stayed with them. 💚 Thank you, KALM International Trainings

Authentic Voices was organized by Kalm International Trainings (LV) in partnership with Freedom Universe (PL), Creatosphere (BG), Associação Poesia p’ra todos (PT) and WAKE Foundation (NL).

Act of Change is officially coming to a close: but the work definitely doesn’t end here. 🎭

What started as a 7-day Erasmus+ Training Course in Shumen grew into **Bulgaria’s first Legislative Theatre performance**, bringing together 24 youth workers, educators, facilitators and community practitioners from eight countries to explore how theatre can move beyond representation and become a tool for participation and change.

And because a project like this should leave something behind, it didn’t stop with the performance.

📘 and Dr. Gabriel Vivas-Martinez created the **Act of Change guidebook** , a practical step-by-step resource on Legislative Theatre for youth workers, educators and facilitators.

🎥 documented the journey in our **project video**, capturing what it looked like to launch Legislative Theatre in Bulgaria.

📱 and produced a series of **short educational videos** explaining the method and some of its essential principles.

📄 And the proposals developed with spect-actors, secretaries and legal support travelled beyond the theatre and into the municipality itself.

Act of Change was never only about putting on a show. It was about asking what happens when the audience is given the possibility to act.

The project may be closing. The method, the resources, the proposals and the people carrying them forward are not. 💙

A few days ago we shared a sneak peek of the documentary "The 9 aspects of communities" - more specifically the part about Purpose: why communities exist, and why people actually choose to stay. What happens when theatre leaves the stage and enters public life? 🎭

This music video follows Act of Change, the international Erasmus+ project that brought Legislative Theatre to Bulgaria. In Shumen, youth workers, facilitators and educators from across Europe learned how to turn lived experiences into scenes, invite audiences to intervene, and transform ideas from the stage into concrete proposals for change.

The project culminated in Bulgaria’s first Legislative Theatre performance, where the audience became part of the action and proposals emerging from the process were submitted to the Municipality of Shumen.

A week of listening, experimenting, rehearsing and creating: captured through movement, music and the people who made it happen.

Our new educational playlist introduces you to **Legislative Theatre**: how the method works, how a performance is built, how audiences become active participants, and how ideas developed on stage can be transformed into concrete proposals for social and political change.
