From nurturing creativity and building confidence to creating opportunities for young people to grow, dance teachers bring so much more than movement to the studio. Good food brings people together, and we’re excited to partner with Tastes of Senegal for our Community Event on Sunday 15 November!

Enjoy a taste of Senegalese cuisine as we bring people together through food, culture, creativity and connection.

🥗 Full Program – Morning Session: Includes the morning show, participatory activities and lunch.
🍛 Full Program – Afternoon Session: Includes the afternoon show, participatory activities and dinner.

Ausdance VIC stands in solidarity with the Don't Break Our Arts campaign and Victoria's dance, performing arts and broader arts community.

At a time when our sector is under increasing pressure, the 2026 Victorian State Budget has locked in a 35% reduction in investment in Creative Industries Access, Development, and Innovation over the next four years.

These cuts have real consequences for artists, dance educators, studios, companies, and arts organisations across Victoria. They put creative opportunities, sustainable careers, and the future of our sector at risk.

Arts and culture are not a luxury. They are fundamental to Victoria's economic, social, and cultural life. Our community deserves investment, support, and a future where dance and the arts can thrive.

That's why we're standing together and calling for meaningful action, sustainable arts funding and support for the people and organisations who keep our creative sector alive.

Are you passionate about creating opportunities that connect, support and strengthen the dance sector?

Ausdance VIC is seeking a Programming Manager to lead the development and delivery of impactful dance programs, events and initiatives that support artists, educators and communities across Victoria.

As Victoria’s peak body for dance, Ausdance VIC works to nurture and promote dance in all its forms — from sector development and professional learning to community engagement and education. This role is an opportunity to help shape meaningful programs, build strong industry partnerships and contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable dance sector.

The successful candidate will bring experience in program development and delivery, stakeholder relationships, project management and a passion for creating safe, inclusive and engaging dance experiences.

Adult Open Day Weekend is almost here!

The Space Dance & Arts Centre is welcoming adults of all experience levels for a weekend of dance, connection and community on 10–11 October. With 60+ classes across styles including Contemporary, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Commercial, Tap, K-Pop and more, there are plenty of opportunities to try something new, return to a favourite style or keep developing your practice.

The weekend also features Dancers’ Den, celebrating The Space’s 25th anniversary with an evening bringing together performances, freestyle, music and social dancing.
