The ASRC Foodbank operates as a free grocery store for people seeking asylum who have nowhere else t Food can be donated in person or purchased online.

Since the onset of Covid, our self-select Foodbank has temporarily switched to a pre-packed model. We provide food, toiletries and other household essentials to more than 1000 people. Most of these people rely on the ASRC Foodbank as their only source of food as they have no work rights and no income. The majority of this food is donated by the community, including schools, individuals, families, religious groups and other community groups. To celebrate Revolver Trivia’s 17th birthday revolverupstairs , host Mikey Cahill (Mikey Cahill) and the wonderful Tuesday night trivia community came together for a massive food drive, collecting an incredible $4,800 worth of food and essential items for the ASRC Foodbank.

A huge thank you to Mikey, the team at Revolver Upstairs and every person who arrived with something to donate. Your generosity will help keep our shelves stocked for refugees and people seeking asylum.

Proof that when a community comes together, everybody wins. 💜

For three years, the incredible students of Parkdale Secondary College have stood alongside refugees and people seeking asylum. 💜

With the support of their dedicated teachers and mentors, students have organised food drives, collected essential items and raised awareness about the work of the ASRC within their school community.

A heartfelt thank you to every student and mentor who has contributed over the years. Your ongoing commitment is a wonderful example of what young people can achieve when they come together with compassion and purpose.

We are so grateful to have Parkdale Secondary College as part of the ASRC Foodbank community. 💜

Too much olive oil? No such thing 🫒

Recently, our founder Kon Karapanagiotidis whipped up a Greek Feast using a donation of olive oil thanks to family-run business Mount Zero - Australian Olive Oil, Olives & Produce

A huge thank you to the Kiwanis Club of Brighton Bayside Incorporated for donating $520 worth of food to the ASRC Foodbank. 💜

After learning about our work through Margaret Nelson, club members came together to collect a carload of essential items for refugees and people seeking asylum.

An incredible $14,510 worth of essential items has been donated to the ASRC Foodbank thanks to a wonderful community effort across Bendigo. 💜

The donation was made possible through a collaboration between the Amnesty Australia Bendigo Group, Grandmothers for Refugees Bendigo Group and Rural Australians for Refugees Bendigo Group.

Coordinated by Gillian and John Wells, the month-long food drive included collection boxes at Woolworths stores across Bendigo, making it easier for members of the community to donate while learning more about the work of the ASRC.

A huge thank you to Gillian and John, all three community groups, and every person who contributed. Your generosity will help keep the ASRC Foodbank stocked for refugees and people seeking asylum.

Our Dandenong Winter Food Drive wrapped up with an incredible show of support, with 2,820 essential food and personal care items donated – worth around $12,000 for refugees and people seeking asylum.

Thank you to everyone who came along, including Deputy Mayor Phillip Danh, Mayor Stefan Koomen and Mayor Brett Owen, who joined us with donations of their own.

Thank you to everyone who donated, showed up and spoke up this winter. 💜 Together, we're showing that community, compassion and love are stronger than fear.
