Ercildoune is home to an incredible collection of Footscray’s history. 🏛️

The former National Bank of Australasia building has been home to the Footscray Historical Society since 1970, preserving everything from historic photographs to decades of the Footscray Advertiser.

Now, Ercildoune is celebrating 150 years! 🎉

Join the celebrations on Sunday, October 11 from 2–4pm at 61 Napier St, Footscray, featuring local musicians, guest speakers, displays and refreshments. A guided tour of Ercildoune will follow at 4pm.

Took a group on a history walk in Footscray Park. Great group, we all enjoyed it.

Representatives from Reimagining Old Footscray Hospital Community Group were really pleased to show Member of Parliament for Western Metropolitan Region, David Ettershank MP around the old hospital site today.

We shared the community vision and ask to the State Government for meaningful engagement on a community precinct plan that reflects objectives for natural open space, quality medium density and diverse housing, including significant social and affordable housing, an early small stage park, and a range of community spaces and uses.

We have also written to Minister Shing inviting her to meet us on the site to discuss.
