Last weekend's camp saw us end up with 11 campsites & 21 attendees at the wonderful Imbil Showgrounds. Not as cold as previous years, though we did have a little rain whilst camping. The rain was nothing substantial but track conditions had changed since the recce 1 week earlier & the 1st true challenging incline was as far as we got. The lead vehicle needed to be recovered after it couldn't drive up it and rather than winch up and then help others to the top, the call was made for safety & track conservation to double back on ourselves. We found a alternate route back to camp. Still an enjoyable drive with 2 temporary members who were 1st timers out with the club seeing how we do things when they don't go to plan, so still a win.

Today we had 2 members head out & do a recce for next weekends camp day run. This is something we do before leading a group of cars out into a area, using apps & mapping to plan our route & know track conditions as well as the degree of difficulty. Join us for a great weekend on the12/06 - 14/06. It's the Nambour show holiday long weekend & our next camp. Less than 1 hour from our Yandina clubhouse, power, hot showers, flushing toilets & dogs allowed - what more do you need?
