Darkinjung Local Aboriginal Land Council Darkinjung is the Local Aboriginal Land Council in the Wyong and Gosford Shire Council area and is a major landowner on the Central Coast.

Darkinjung Local Aboriginal Land Council (LALC) focuses on improving, protecting and fostering the best interests of its members and all Aboriginal persons within the Central Coast area. The Darkinjung LALC is located on the Central Coast of New South Wales. Its boundaries stretch from Catherine Hill Bay to the north, Hawkesbury River to the south, the Pacific Ocean to the east and Watagan Mountains to the west. The Darkinjung region is rich in Aboriginal culture and heritage, largely due to its diverse landscape and has over 7,000 registered Aboriginal sites. The Council is committed to inspiring and respecting Aboriginal traditions and cultural values for the entire community. The Council achieves these objectives by implementing a number of policies and procedures in compliance with the Aboriginal Land Rights Act 1983 (NSW), which states the functions of a Local Aboriginal Land Council. Darkinjung LALC’s role includes:
• acquiring, using and dealing with land
• identifying and protecting land of cultural significance to Aboriginal persons
• making claims to crown land
• protecting the interests of Aboriginal people in its area
• providing residential accommodation for Aboriginal people in the area in regard to the use, acquisition, management, control or disposal of land
• negotiate with persons desiring to use, occupy or gain access to any part of its land
• promote the protection of Aboriginal culture and heritage of Aboriginal persons in its area

Wundirra is excited to invite Darkinjung Local Aboriginal Land Council members and their children to our FREE Koori Kids Halloween Party!

Before we release tickets to the wider community, we're offering Darkinjung LALC members exclusive early access to secure tickets for their children.

***Exclusive Pre-Release Access: This early access offer is available exclusively to Darkinjung LALC members and their families until 1:00 pm, 19 October 2026. After this time, tickets will be released to the wider community through Wundirra's social media platforms and other networks. As tickets are limited, we encourage members to secure their bookings during this exclusive pre-release period.

We're bringing our Koori kids together for an afternoon of fun, connection, laughter and plenty of Halloween excitement!

Date: Saturday, 31 October 2026
Time: 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Location: Wyong (exact address provided following registration)
Cost: No cost

What's happening?
• Halloween disco, music and dancing
• Kids' entertainment and interactive games
• Face painting and airbrush tattoos
• Costume parade and prizes
• Glow sticks, pizza and drinks
• Plenty of fun and opportunities for our Koori kids to connect!

Get those costumes ready! Whether they're spooky, funny, magical or creative, we can't wait to see everyone dressed up.

Tickets are limited and bookings are essential to help us manage numbers and ensure everyone has a great time.

All children must be accompanied by an adult, and all children require tickets. Bookings are limited to three tickets per order. Families requiring additional tickets can contact us directly.
Children under five are welcome, but please contact us before booking so we can accommodate them where possible.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, we are proud to officially welcome Nathan Moran as the new Chief Executive Officer of Darkinjung Local Aboriginal Land Council (DLALC).

Nathan brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership and many years of valuable experience across the Aboriginal Land Rights network. He has a strong understanding of the challenges, opportunities and aspirations of our people and communities, along with a deep commitment to advancing Aboriginal Land Rights.

His experience, knowledge and leadership will be a valuable asset as we continue to strengthen our organisation, advocate for our members and deliver meaningful outcomes for our community.

We look forward to working alongside Nathan as we build on the strong foundations of DLALC, embrace new opportunities and continue creating a positive and sustainable future for our members, families and future generations.
