Hervey Bay parkrun A free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning at 7am at Lions Park, Urangan. Everyone is welcome to walk, run or volunteer.

Hervey Bay parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 7am in Hervey Bay, QLD, Australia. Hervey Bay parkrun is FREE and open to people of all standards and ages, both as volunteers and as runners / walkers. We encourage people of every ability to take part, from those taking their first steps in running to Olympians, from juniors 4 years or older to those with decades of experience. All runners receive encouragement and enjoy being part of a community event open to all standards. Equally, our volunteer teams come from a huge variety of backgrounds and we urge everybody to get involved in organising their local events at least 3 times per year.

VOLUNTEER CALLOUT
Ok. So. It is 51 sleeps until Christmas Eve. This means you have 51 sleeps to get on Santa's nice list. Hot tip... Santa loves parkrun volunteers (they do wear his signature red vests). Lucky for you, we have some spaces on this week's roster... We need a barcode scanner, 2x finish tokens distributors, a Rockwall marshal and a photographer. Let us know if you can help and we will put in a good word with the big guy.

Congratulations to the 182 parkrun participants this morning. The majority of people sporting red to support Day for Daniel. The rain held off, visitors from a variety of places, some milestones and first timers.

Thanks to the volunteers who make the event possible and are always smiling!!

I hope everyone had an absolute ghoul of a time! Thank you for bringing the energy, embracing the Halloween fun and making the day so much fun to capture.

There were plenty of smiles, giggles and a little bit of Halloween mischief along the way. I had a wickedly good time capturing it all!
