💗 What to Expect on the Day – Fraser Coast Walk to Remember

We look forward to welcoming you to our 4th Red Nose Fraser Coast Walk to Remember this Saturday, 31 October. This is a day of remembrance, connection and support, and you are welcome to participate in whatever way feels right for you.

🌸 9:30am – Arrival & Welcome
Doors open at 9:30am. Please sign in on arrival, then enjoy a FREE egg and bacon roll, with tea, coffee and water generously provided by the Beach House Fishing Club.

Inside, you’ll find gentle table activities, including colouring-in, a floral tribute and our butterfly memorial canvas. There will also be plenty of chairs if you’d prefer a quiet moment.

🕊️ 10:00am – Memorial Service & Walk
Our service will include beautiful readings, parent reflections, a Say Their Name ceremony and a special pinwheel ritual. Together, we’ll then take a symbolic walk, representing the steps our babies and children never got to take.

The walk follows a short loop through City Park, from the Neighbourhood Centre to the whale sculpture at the Hervey Bay Regional Gallery and back. This is wheelchair, pram, walker friendly. There is also a shorter option if you wish so.

💗 Following the Walk
We’ll return to the Neighbourhood Centre for refreshments and to conclude our service together by 12.

🌊 1:00pm – Floral Tribute at the Beach
Families are warmly invited to join us at the beachfront in front of Enzo’s for the release of our floral tribute.

Above all, please know there is no right or wrong way to take part. Take the moments you need, connect with others if you wish, and remember your precious babies in whatever way feels right for you.

Today marks 14 years since my beautiful boy, Sq**rt, was born sleeping. 💙🦋

It was also the day my world changed forever and I became part of this incredible bereaved community. A community I never imagined I would need, but one that has brought understanding, compassion, friendship and connection when it was needed most.

Fourteen years on, Sq**rt’s footprints remain forever on my heart. Although I never got to watch him grow, he has shaped the person I am today in ways words could never explain.

Sending love to everyone who understands that a lifetime of love can exist in moments we wish we had more of. 💙🦋
