💙 Kindness in action!

This week, Auburn-Lidcombe Girl Guides spent the evening helping at St Paul's Burwood, sorting food donations and packing care bags for people experiencing homelessness.

Working together, the girls checked inventory, packed essential items, and made sure everything was ready to go for distribution the next morning. 🛍️

What makes this story even more special? Many of the pantry donations came from the girls themselves, who used their Christmas money to purchase items for people doing it tough.

From learning new skills and making friends to giving back to their community, Girl Guides is all about helping girls grow into confident, caring young people who make a difference. ✨

We need YOUR creativity for something pretty special…

Guides aged 10–17, this is your chance to design this year’s GGS badge – are you ready to take it on?

There’s plenty of room to make it your own, but every design needs to include:
👉 ‘Great Guide Sleepover 2026’ clearly featured
☘️ The Girl Guide Trefoil
🫶 Our conservation focus animal for this year… the Regent Honeyeater!
💬 A catchy slogan using alliteration – think along the lines of “Honeyeaters, H____ & H____” to capture the spirit of the event!

You can enter as many designs as you like, with submissions closing Tuesday 30 June. One lucky winner will receive an awesome gift pack and bragging rights for creating this year’s GGS badge!
