🏆 2026 NFA AWARDS DINNER ⚽

What a wonderful way to celebrate another season of community football!

As we reflect on the 2026 season, we would like to acknowledge and congratulate some of our very own Bligh Park Football Club members who were recognised at this year’s NFA Awards.

🥇 YOUTH ADVISORY PANEL (YAP)

A huge congratulations to our very own junior members who participated in this year’s Youth Advisory Panel (YAP) program and were presented with their certificates.

We are incredibly proud of their commitment, enthusiasm and willingness to get involved and have their voices heard.

It’s fantastic to see our younger members stepping up, developing their skills and helping shape the future of our sport. Well done!

👏 BPFC VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR – 2026

A massive congratulations to our very own Jo, who was recognised as BPFC’s Volunteer of the Year for the 2026 season!

As our much-loved Canteen Manager, Jo consistently goes above and beyond for our club. Week after week, she shows up with a smile on her face, gives her time so generously and does whatever is needed to keep things running smoothly.

The countless hours, hard work and dedication you put into Bligh Park Football Club do not go unnoticed. So much happens behind the scenes to keep a community club running, and we couldn’t be more grateful for everything you do.

This recognition is so incredibly well deserved, Jo. Thank you for everything you do for our club! 💙

A big thank you also to Nepean Football Association Inc. for another season of support and for bringing our football community together to celebrate the achievements of clubs, players, coaches and volunteers.

Bligh Park FC x JC Football Academy are continuing their successful Development Teams from 2026 into 2027!

📢 DATE CHANGE: Trials now start Friday 6th November (previously advertised as 30th October).

Got a kid who’s hungry to grow, push themselves, and level up their game? This is their chance! 🌟

We’re also opening trials to more age groups! U7, U11 and U12 are now included, with those groups going ahead based on interest and numbers.

📅 3 week TRIAL program starting Friday 6th November
📍 Berger Rd Reserve
⏰ U7 & U8: 5pm - 5:40pm
⏰ U9 & U10: 5:45pm - 6:25pm
⏰ U11 & U12: 6:30pm - 7:10pm

⚠️ Players are expected to attend all three weeks of the trial. This gives our coaches the chance to properly assess skill, attitude and development potential.

We’ll also be holding a couple of further trials in January.

What does the Development Squads include?
⚽️ Professional and licensed coaches trained to develop quality players
🏫 Individual player development plans
🥅 50+ sessions per season
📆 Season runs January - August 2027
👕 Playing and training jerseys provided

🏆 Congratulations, Linda Cerone! 🏆

Bligh Park FC is incredibly proud to congratulate Linda on receiving the 2026 George Churchward Medal, the highest honour in the amateur game in NSW.

Linda's story is woven into the fabric of our club. Alongside Ross Snashall, she was one of the founders of Bligh Park FC, and she served as our Club Secretary while also working as administrator for what was then the Nepean Soccer Association.

When the rules changed in 1999 and she could no longer hold both roles, Linda stayed on as our Public Officer for many years. Her name is firmly part of our club's history and governance, and her sons Luke and James both came through our junior ranks.

Over 28 years as CEO of Nepean Football Association Inc., Linda worked tirelessly for our district, sat on numerous committees, supported Football Australia, and was never afraid to fight hard for what our clubs needed.

It's especially fitting that this medal is named after George Churchward, a Nepean man who is still fondly remembered by many in our football community.

Thank you Linda, for everything you've given to Bligh Park and to football in the region. This recognition is so well deserved!

STATE DINNER AWARDS

Congratulations to Linda Cerone from Nepean Football Association, our 2026 George Churchward Medal recipient!

Linda’s involvement in football spans an extraordinary 35 years, during which she has consistently demonstrated unwavering commitment, passion, and integrity across a number of roles within Nepean FA but also her local club, Bligh Park FC.

Having served as Chief Executive Officer of Nepean FA for the past 28 years, she now holds the role of Senior Strategy Advisor as she transitions into retirement. Her legacy is firmly cemented in the growth and success of the Association. Her lifelong dedication has not only shaped the Nepean FA but has also enriched the lives of countless players, volunteers, and supporters.

The George Churchward Medal recipients are recognized as having contributed significantly to Association and State Football in NSW.

🐺 JOIN THE BLIGH PARK FC COMMITTEE FOR 2027! 💙🤍

As we look ahead to the 2027 season, we're looking for passionate volunteers to join the Bligh Park FC committee and help shape the future of our club.

We're particularly keen to fill these positions:

⚽ Grounds Maintenance / Field Setup
📋 Competition Secretary – Junior and/or Senior
👕 Merch Coordinator
💰 Fundraising Officer
🤝 Sponsorship Officer

But that's not all!

Other committee roles are available, and we're always happy to welcome general committee members who can take on smaller tasks, lend a hand and help out during the season.

You don't have to commit to a huge role or have previous committee experience. If you've got some time, skills, ideas or simply want to contribute to the club, we'd love to hear from you.

⚽💙 MINIROOS IS BACK FOR TERM 4! 💙⚽

Our Friday afternoons are getting loud again! 🎉

After a fantastic Term 3, we’re excited to welcome our MiniRoos players back to Berger Road Reserve from Friday, 16 October for another 8 weeks of fun, football and plenty of smiles.

Whether your little one is already part of the BPFC family or is joining us for the first time, MiniRoos is a great way to build confidence, develop skills, make new friends and enjoy the game in a fun and supportive environment.

Bligh Park Football Club's AGM is happening Monday, 12 October 2026 at 7:00pm, at the Bligh Park Hotel (101 Ham Street, South Windsor).

This year we'll be voting on a proposed new Club Constitution, hearing from the President and Treasurer, and electing our Committee for the season ahead.

🐺 We'd love to see more of you get involved. Whether you've got an hour a month or want to take on something bigger, the Club runs on volunteers like you. Nominations will be taken on the night, so come along ready to put your hand up!

All members are welcome and encouraged to attend and have their say.
