Across our 51 years of serving those who work, serve, and volunteer at Christian camps and venues throughout Australia, only 23 people have been awarded Life Membership of our association. This honour is reserved for individuals who serve with exceptional diligence—often at significant personal sacrifice—to advance the values we hold dearly: supporting and encouraging one another, pursuing excellence in all we do, and seeking always to reflect Christ’s example through our lives and work.

On Thursday night, as part of her farewell from United Venues South Australia—where she has faithfully led the Tarooki team for more than 20 years—CVA was delighted to induct Karen Parker as our 24th Life Member. This is a deeply deserved recognition of her extraordinary contribution to Christian camping, not only in South Australia but across the nation.

Karen, you will be greatly missed. Please don’t be a stranger.

A traineeship is a structured training arrangement that combines paid on the job work with formal training to achieve a nationally recognised vocational qualification. This is a pathway to gain valuable skills and experience while earning a wage.

Isaiah 41:10 is a favourite verse for many people as it reminds us that God is always with us. God promises to give us strength during tough times. Many people find comfort in this verse when life gets difficult because it reassures us we're not alone. It's a simple but powerful reminder that God cares for us and will help us.
