IMPORTANT INFORMATION
RE: “HAWKESBURY SENIOR LADIES CRAFT GROUP”.

We have become aware of several posts circulating the Hawkesbury Facebook Groups regarding our Ladies Craft Group.

Bligh Park Community Services (BPCS) has organised the Ladies Group for the past 12 + years. We host them every Friday at Tiningi Hall in Bligh Park, a Hawkesbury City Council (HCC)-owned facility whose day-to-day management they outsource to our community centre.

Last Friday the 25th September 2026 the Ladies Group could not enter Tiningi Hall due to a suspected snake den/nest located adjacent to the building. As some of our ladies depend on mobility aids it was deemed wiser to cancel the Group that day until confirmation could be made regarding if the holes sighted were access to a den/nest.

We are aware that it has been shared that our Ladies Group are looking for alternative premises due to funding cuts. This is incorrect. Whilst both BPCS and our ladies appreciate the support being offered by the community, we wanted to let you all know that BPCS had already been in contact with HCC about this issue. HCC are at Tiningi today (Mon) endeavouring to locate the den/nest. Hopefully the den/nest will be located and the problem will be resolved for our Ladies ahead of this Friday.

If anyone had any questions or concerns regarding the Ladies Group or any other groups facilitated by BPCS, please reach out to Catherine, the Centre Manager, on 45725898 and I would be more than happy to answer them.
