It's parkrun eve and the weather forecast is looking good for the morning. Can we please ask that everyone is quiet, respectful and listens carefully to the Run Director during the pre-event welcome! Our course has changed and there is important information that everyone needs to hear. Also please follow all instructions given by the course Marshal's when you are out there, the Marshal's are there to help maintain safety but this can only be achieved if you again listen and follow their directions. Let's make tomorrow a day for everyone to have fun and enjoy 🏃‍♂️🚶‍♀️👍

**Update thankyou Rachel & Ben for your quick response ❤️ only 1 Barcode Scanner still required**

If you have been at parkrun recently you will have seen Ben out on the course with his big smile keeping participants safe and offering support and encouragement to everyone. Unfortunately Ben has been carrying an injury but rather than missing out on his weekly parkrun fix he has been volunteering and has accumulated an amazing 16 volunteer credits so far. Well done Ben and thankyou for your dedication to our event it's greatly appreciated 👏, you will soon reach your 25 volunteer milestone and can don that purple t-shirt 💜

Volunteers are what make our event possible each week so if you want to have as much fun as Ben we still have 3 spots available which are super easy for this week Marshal & 2 Barcode Scanner's if you can help please get in touch, thanks in advance 😊

A quick reminder to all parkrunners and families 💜
Last week we observed a number of children under 11 running unaccompanied on course.
As per parkrun policy, all children under 11 must remain within arm's reach of a parent or guardian for the entire event. This rule is in place primarily for the safety and wellbeing of our youngest participants, but it also helps ensure everyone can enjoy a safe and positive event experience.
Our course includes shared paths, bridges, other path users, and areas where volunteers may not always have direct visibility. Having an adult close by means children can be assisted immediately if they trip, become unwell, or encounter any issues along the course.
We ask all parents and guardians to please help us by ensuring children under 11 stay within arm's reach for the duration of the event. This is an important part of parkrun's Code of Conduct and helps us keep Seacliff Esplanade parkrun safe and enjoyable for everyone.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💜

Despite a wet and windy morning, 225 people ran, jogged and walked our course this week. We welcomed 20 first timers to Seacliff Esplanade parkrun, including visitors from Spain and Broken Hill, and celebrated 29 new Personal Bests.
A huge congratulations to Hallie Drewer, who completed her 50th parkrun milestone today. Well done, Hallie! 🎉
A massive thank you to our volunteers, particularly those who spent the morning standing out in the rain to ensure the event could go ahead safely. Your dedication to our parkrun community never goes unnoticed.
A few incidents were reported out on course today. As a reminder, please ensure you are staying left wherever possible, being courteous to fellow participants and respecting all other path users. The shared paths belong to everyone, and a little awareness goes a long way in helping us maintain a safe and welcoming event for all.
We hope to see you all again next week — hopefully with a little more sunshine!
