“When you have art you have voice, with voice comes freedom, with freedom comes responsibility.” — Richard J Frankland, advisor to RAV’s First Nations Reference Group.

Today we are opening the First Nations Creative Priorities Survey and inviting First Nations people living in regional Victoria to help shape RAV’s future priorities.

The survey will guide the work of RAV’s First Nations Reference Group, ensuring First Nations creatives across regional Victoria are visible, heard and supported.

If you’re a First Nations creative, artist or community member in regional Victoria, we’d love to hear from you. The survey takes around 5 minutes to complete.

Survey closes 5pm, Sunday 27 June 2026.

How do you bring world-class live music to a small regional hall?

At this upcoming Creative Connections session, we’re thrilled to be joined by RAV Members Lyrebird Presents at Meeniyan Town Hall — a passionate group of locals who’ve built a thriving live music program in South Gippsland, powered by community, curiosity and a love of great music.

They’ll share:
✨ how they book incredible artists from across Australia and around the world
✨ what’s worked (and what they’ve learned along the way)
✨ how they’re continuing to grow and strengthen their program

Whether you’re a community presenter, a music lover, or someone keen to create more live music opportunities in your region, this is a great chance to listen, learn and connect.

💬 Come along with questions or just sit back and be inspired.
