The Victorian State Youth Brass Band has toured Western Victoria, New Zealand, Tasmania and New South Wales and, guess what???
We're bringing the whole shebang to you, this September!

2 days of workshops, a Gala concert as well as an informal concert for families on the Sunday afternoon!

This is what it’s all about—and why learning in a brass band gives our Academy students so much more than standard music lessons!

​Huge congratulations to Sale City Band on a fantastic campaign at the Victorian Brass Band Championships. Joined by some incredible local talent, that full sound was something special.

​Gippsland represented with 3 out of the 10 bands in the section (shout-outs to Morwell Citizens Band and Warragul Brass Band!). Brass music is well and truly thriving in our region. 🎺

​To our Academy families: if your kids ever move towns, we’ve got your back. The networks we’re building mean we can connect them with supportive musical communities anywhere, keeping their journey going strong.
​Making memories, building friendships, and playing at the top of their game. ❤️

The Victorian State Championships are on NOW!!

Brass Banding opens up the opportunity for us country folk to compete against the best in the State!

At 1pm TODAY, our Sale City Band will perform in the D grade brass section against 10 other amazing bands. If you'd like to watch on the live stream, you can click the YouTube link below.

Full circle moment today for the Sale Brass Academy!

10 years ago, young Tom and his family joined the Sale Brass Academy to continue their musical skills and provide further opportunities for music beyond school.

Today, as our latest Academy kids busked at Bunnings, Tom competed at the Victorian Brass Band Championships and placed 3rd in his section!

Community music programs not only provide an opportunity for affordable music education, but allows musicians continue social and competitive music making, during their schooling and beyond!

Attn: Academy Musicians!

We would love any of our superstar musicians that would like to stand up and play a tune to come to Bunnings TODAY at 11am for an opportunity to Busk at the Sale Bunnings BBQ.

Our current young musicians continue to challenge themselves, and prove that they can do hard things! We are so proud of how far they have come.

Attn: Supporters!

We would love you to come buy a sausage, listen to our Academy kids and throw a coin into the music case. Fundraising opportunities like this allow us to continue to improve the access to affordable music education.

Is there ANYTHING better on a chilly Sunday than a SNAG and an adventure wandering through BUNNINGS?

Yes!!!

How about helping fund MUSIC EDUCATION for our Brass Academy Students, while eating your delicious snag (with onion of course!)

Come and Support the SALE BRASS ACADEMY (and Sale City Band ) by purchasing a snag or drink THIS SUNDAY in Sale, at the New Bunnings Superstore!

From 11am, some of our brave students will also have their first go at Busking, so bring some spare change to cheer them on!

We are seeking Beginner musicians to join our new "Fast Track Trombone ensemble"
No music experience nessessary
Aged 8-18 years
4-4.30pm Monday nights
Sale City Band Hall
$100 for 12 lessons

We are also seeking current music students and drummers to join our Training Band to compete at the Traralgon Eisteddfod, Perform on stage at The Wedge, The Christmas Street Parade and more!
Aged 8-18 years
2 years brass or drumming experience OR
4 years of any music experience on another instrument
4.30-5.15pm Monday nights
