Rotary in Rosebud-Rye

Rotary in Rosebud-Rye A small club with big plans. We have fun and give opportunities for young people in our community. Many hands make light work.

The Rotary club of Rosebud/Rye membership is made up of local business people of all ages. A strong emphasis for our club has been financial sponsorship directed to our youth both local and overseas. We believe that encouraging young people to participate in Rotary enrichment programs is a smart and sound investment in our community. Our quest in supporting resilience and self-empowerment programs

, is to assist in eliminating bullying and promoting respectful relationships. Our membership encourages youth to engage in activities outside of school, for instance: adopting healthy life skills gained through participation in scouts, girl guides, sea scouts, Rotary skate park and more. Our club sponsors equipment for most sporting organizations offering all youth an opportunity to better themselves and become leaders in our community. If you have ever wondered... "What in the world does Rotary do?" read about our projects here and come along to any of our meetings. We will make you most welcome and answer any questions you may have. One of our many international projects is to help stamp out polio. If you are looking to contribute to your local community and at the same time help less fortunate people around the world, then please consider joining us as either a fully fledged Rotarian or a 'Friend of Rotary.'

What an awesome recognition of our continued support to our local community here in Rosebud and Rye.

A big thanks to all our members. It takes teamwork and commitment to service above self to receive a District 9815 Governor's Excellence Silver Award.

This award recognises our Club's significant contributions to creating an inclusive and engaging Rotary Club environment. Our efforts have notably strengthened member participation and deepened the sense of community within the Club.

I would like to particularly acknowledge our fabulous community-focussed projects this year - Neighbour Day and the Peace Pole project, as well as our regular inclusion in both the Rye, as organiser and promoter of stall holders and Rotary community markets, as participant and provider of gourmand egg and bacon and sausage in bread treats.

Also thanks to Adele Mee for her fantastic efforts as Membership Chair, which got us over the line. She’s always up for a chat or a visit to the Club to see if it’s a fit for you.

Something to absolutely look forward to......

⭐ District 9815 Awards Night ⭐

We are very proud to announce that at tonight's District Awards, we have been awarded a Gold Club Membership Award and a Bronze Governor's Excellence Award!

These awards reflect the dedication, hard work, and heart that our members put into everything this club does. So proud to have the team that we do! 🫶

As we edge to the close of our 2nd full year in action since our refounding, we look ahead with excitement to what the future holds, and look back with pride at what a group of like-minded young people can achieve when we work together.

Thank you to everyone who supports us, with special mentions to our parent clubs, and Rotary Club of Rosebud-Rye, as well as our 'uncle club' (technical term), Rotary Club of Mount Martha. 💙
