📣 Coming soon to headspace Rosebud - our new bulk billing health clinic for young people!

Dr Rob and Nurse Practitioner Nicole are here to talk about any questions or concerns you might have about your physical, mental, sexual or reproductive health.

They can also help with procedures, information, referrals, scripts and general check ups.

Starting this Wednesday 21 October and running every fortnight on Wednesdays from 3-5pm, you can book your appointment now by calling Reception on 5925 9464.

Today is our annual headspace Day and our theme this year is Taking time to do nothing!

Young people today are usually asked to do more - juggle a lot – check in. Reach out. Journal. Exercise. Download another app. Book an appointment.

While these all have value, they can accidentally become another item on an already overwhelming list.

We want to flip that expectation on its head by asking young people to take some time to do nothing* this headspace Day for their mental health and wellbeing. Whatever this may look like for you!

headspace is collaborating with Funlabs for Day of Fun this Thursday 3rd of September! On this day Funlab venues (Strike Bowling, Holey Moley and more) will be offering discounted tickets. Local venues will have dedicated QR codes to make donations for headspace Frankston and Rosebud!

Pricing for activities for Day of Fun starts at $5 per person 9 holes of mini golf, 1 game of bowling, Hijinx challenge rooms etc), The promotion also includes $10 escape rooms and $20 Karaoke. Bookings can be made at www.fun-lab.com

August 12th is the UN’s International Youth Day. It is an awareness day that is meant to highlight youth contributions and how their creativity and leadership help shape communities. The headspace Rosebud Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) is comprised of young people passionate about contributing to something bigger than themselves. We are always grateful for their diverse opinions and perspectives, and of course their contributions to the headspace Rosebud and the community!

In June this year the team at headspace Rosebud headed out into the local Rosebud community to do some community awareness engagement pop-ups. The pop-ups consisted of engaging with some local schools, community organisations and members about our services, what we do and who we are.

The time in community was heartwarming as well as extremely valuable as community members and students provided us with both positive and constructive feedback. It was also encouraging to see members of the community approach our pop-ups to demonstrate community support and investment in the service.

headspace Rosebud had the pleasure of being a part of the Education, Careers and Training Expo (ECAT) held at Padua College, Mornington in June. Our staff plus two Youth Advisory Committee members ran a fun interactive stall where we spoke to school students about headspace Rosebud services as well as gave out some cool headspace merchandise.

headspace Rosebud would like to thank Padua College Mornington for having us and we hope to be a part of the event next year!

Additionally, we’re thrilled to share that our headspace Frankston and Youth Services Frankston recently ran an engaging weaving holiday program with the amazing Carla Lauch, a proud Gunditjmara – Kirrae Whurrong and Bundjalung woman, fostering creativity and connection among our youth. Together, we continue to celebrate, educate, and advocate for a brighter future!
