Welcome to Rockhampton the visiting Choirs, Performers and Adjudicators for the 131st Queensland Eisteddfod. Enjoy the Singing, Speech & Drama, Instrumental and Choral Competition to be held over this Easter Weekend.

Rockhampton audiences are encouraged to come the Pilbeam Theatre, the adjacent Range Room and the Walter Reid Cultural Centre for a wonderful weekend of cultural activities.

The Rockhampton Musical Union Choir Inc and the Rockhampton Musical Union Youth Choir will be representing our City. We wish all performers the best of luck.

Child Safe Standards
The Rockhampton Musical Union has developed a set of standards that will support us keeping our young people safe.

The Rockhampton Musical Union Choir is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all children and young people. Although we are primarily an adult choir, young people aged 16 and over are welcome to participate in our choral and musical productions. Their safety and wellbeing are our highest priority, and we will not tolerate child abuse, harm, or any behaviour that places children or young people at risk.

We actively listen to, value, and empower young people, ensuring their voices are heard and respected within our organisation. Every member of our choir community shares responsibility for maintaining a child‑safe environment where young people feel supported, protected, and able to thrive.

RMU Choir is back in 2026!
Queensland Eisteddfod choir reheasals begin on Australia Day, 26 January, 2026. Warm-ups will begin promptly at 7:15 p.m, and singing will start at 7:30p.m. (158 Denison St)
This year the Qld Eisteddfod is in Rockhampton, and we would love you to join our choir for this special event.
