End Loneliness Inc. is inviting communities, workplaces, schools, sporting clubs and organisations across Australia to come together for End Loneliness Day 2026 on Wednesday 8 July.
Held annually on the second Wednesday of July, End Loneliness Day is a national day of action dedicated to Empowering Connections, Ending Loneliness. Through simple acts of connection and conversation, Australians are encouraged to create opportunities for people to come together and strengthen their sense of belonging.
Whether it’s a morning tea, shared lunch, barbecue, workplace gathering or community event, every conversation has the power to make a difference.
End Loneliness Day is about creating moments of connection and reminding people that nobody has to face loneliness alone.
Communities across the country are encouraged to share the day with their friends, families, colleagues, and networks and help spread the message that connections matter.
Organisations and individuals are invited to register an event and join the growing movement of people committed to empowering connections and ending loneliness. Registered hosts will receive access to an End Loneliness Day event kit, resources, and ideas to help bring people together.
