A big thank you to all our Braking the Cycle Volunteer Mentors 🚗

Your dedication in supporting our learner drivers across the Peninsula—helping them achieve their 100 hours and obtain their provisional licences—is truly invaluable.

Your positive attitude, patience, and commitment make this program possible, and we are so grateful for the many hours you give to our community each week.

Thank you for everything you do! 👏

🌟 What a fantastic day at the City of Moreton Bay Council, Volunteer Open Day on Wednesday 10th June!

PCYC Braking the Cycle Co-Ordinator, Sue attended. The morning kicked off with great training sessions by trainer GiGi, for organisations on the Peninsula. This was followed by an engaging afternoon open forum held at the Redcliffe Library for anyone interested in volunteering. We also heard from guest speakers, and it was wonderful to see so many organisations hosting information tables—giving everyone the chance to chat with representatives and explore different opportunities.

A big thank you to everyone who helped organise such a valuable and inspiring event! 👏💙

Stress is something most of us are familiar with. With rising interest rates, work life, family dynamics, and conflicts across the world, it’s no wonder.

But it’s not only adults who feel this stress, our young people often do too.

Tila shares: “When I come to PCYC, I’m usually really stressed and angry, and then when I start boxing, it’s like all that lets go. I can focus more now on school.”

Our free youth programs use sports like boxing and basketball to provide positive ways for young people to release built-up stress and emotions, that they might not otherwise know how to healthily manage.

Right now, more young people than ever before are coming to PCYC looking for support. You can help us make a difference – donate now, every dollar counts: https://www.pcyc.org.au/make-a-donation-2/
