Hays Inlet is an amazing wetland area just north of Brisbane. When you are lost in it you would not believe you are in the middle of suburbia on the outskirts of a major Australian city. It hosts an incredible amount of biodiversity including international wader birds. Unfortunately there are many pressures on the area and local community came together to develop a festival to help raise awareness

of the areas values and to encourage the community to get together and celebrate having such an amazing area close by.
