🏆 WHAT A DAY! 🏆

Between all the Sports Carnival activities, hotdogs, cupcakes and glitter our incredible P&C raised $3,800!

An enormous shout out must go to our amazing P&C event lead, Billie, who went above and beyond to make sure today was spectacular. ⭐️

From organising our coffee van, rallying volunteers to bake, flip, serve and become part of the glitterati - to coordinating the set-up, pack-down and everything in between. Billie made sure the entire day ran seamlessly. 🙌

Thank you to every volunteer who helped make today such a success. 🤩 You are so appreciated, we couldn’t run all the things without you.

An extra-special mention goes to our over-the-fence superhero who opened their home to the P&C and allowed us access to their personal space, their kitchen bench, their fridge (and thankfully their olive oil 🤦‍♀️🤪🌭) so everything could be nicely stored, cooked or retrieved as needed.

💚❤️💛🤍 WHAT STARTED WITH FOUR NEW DRINK FOUNTAINS IS ABOUT TO TRANSFORM OUR SCHOOL…

Last year our school community achieved something extraordinary.

Following months of preparation and an incredible 12-month fundraising effort we raised more than $100,000 to install four new refrigerated drink fountains across Duncraig Primary School with a large amount in addition for installation, new interschool uniforms, choir shirts and in fact - everything else we were asked for in that period.

Once those beautiful new fountains were installed they highlighted something else… The spaces surrounding them were ready for some serious love and attention.

So we’re doing something about it.

At our latest meeting the P&C approved funding for not one but FOUR incredible murals, one above each of our new drink fountains. We have also approved additional funding for a future Busy Bee so our community can come together and give these areas a much-needed lick of paint and a completely new lease on life at the same time.

We’re thrilled to announce that the four murals will be created by the wonderfully talented local artist Renee McAlpine!

We also hope to involve our students throughout the creative process so the children of Duncraig Primary School can contribute to the artwork in their own meaningful way. These murals will become part of their school and part of the legacy they leave behind.

This is what an active P&C and a supportive school community can achieve. One improvement creates momentum for the next and suddenly the school upgrade of a lifetime is underway.

💥 $4,573.20 RAISED! 💥

She’s a big ’un! 😳

Our Father’s Day Stall raised an incredible $4,573.20 - officially making it our highest fundraising total from a Father’s Day Stall EVERRR!

These funds will go directly towards the much-needed refurbishment of our Kindy and Pre-Primary spaces, giving them the love and attention they desperately deserve.

Numbers like this don’t just happen. They happen because people donate, organise, shop, bake, serve, set up, pack down, count money, collect supplies, wrap gifts, sell raffle tickets, volunteer their time and jump in with wherever they’re needed to do.

They happen because our school and P&C work together seamlessly, like a well-oiled machine aiming for the best. We are incredibly fortunate to have a phenomenal principal and school staff who are always firmly in our corner and pushing right alongside us for bigger and better things for our students. Granted they may be slightly biased when it comes to our school, but i guess - so are we!

A special shout out must also go to our fabulous P&C Secretary who only joined us this year and has already led several events with incredible results. She somehow manages to simplify everything, do things totally different - all while simultaneously making it bigger and better and this result is another perfect example.

Thank you to every family who supported the stall, every person who donated and every volunteer who helped make it happen. Credit where credit is due, this was a brilliant collective effort.

With Sports Carnival tomorrow… we have a feeling this week’s P&C fundraising total is only going to skyrocket. 🚀 Watch this space!

If there’s one smell that makes it feel like the P&C is in the house, it’s a sausage sizzle.

We’ll have it running all day, on sports day with sausages, onion, sauces and drinks ready to go. No pre orders, no limited time frames - feel like a snack at 10am, 11:30am and again at 1, we got you! 🌭

Easy lunch and one less thing to organise before you leave the house. 😎

We’re officially in the final lead-up to Sports Carnival and that means the Bake Stall needs filling.

If you can send something in, amazing. If you can spare a little time on the day, even better.
No need to put your name anywhere just come up to the stall and offer your services - you can find us on the middle oval at Marri park on carnival day, right next to the admin tent.

This one only works because families pitch in the way they do, every bit helps us turn the day into magic 🪄

Sports Carnival is creeping up fast and we’re getting everything lined up for a big day.

The Fan Stall is back with all the little faction extras the kids go mad for. Glitter, pom-poms, hair pins and faction wristbands will all be ready to go on the day.

Only available until sold out. You can find the fan stall set up outside room 13 on the grassed area.

Sports Carnival is nearly here and there’s plenty happening around the space on the day.

🍰 Bake Stall: Bring something sweet and help us raise funds for the Kindy/PP area. Our bake stall will be available all day until sold out

🫟 Fan Stall: Bring some coins (or card) and get the kids carnival-ready with faction glitter, pom-poms, hair pins and wristbands. Only available from just before 8am outside room 13.

🌭 Sausage Sizzle: easy lunch sorted with sausages, onion, sauces and drinks available throughout the day, no pre orders, no limits.

☕️ Sky High Nutrition: coffees and smoothies will be on hand first thing to keep the adults sorted.

EFTPOS and cash available across the P&C stalls.
