OTRA A group of like minded people raising funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Each year, car rallies and events are held to raise monies for the RFDS.

All participants and committee are volunteers, so all money raised goes directly to the RFDS.

Gary Muir from WOW Wilderness eco tours in Walpole has been recognised with WA Tourism Awards’ Local Tourism Legend Award.

He received the gong for making an exceptional and enduring contribution to the WA tourism sector over more than three decades.

Mr Muir told ABC’s WA Regional Drive program it was really exciting.

“Over half my life has been invested in establishing eco-tourism, the environment and a real sustainable future,” he said.

“You can only be a legend if you have a great team.”
