π What an incredible day for Hope 4 Change!π
Today was absolutely amazing. Around three-quarters of our op shop stock was gone, which means those items have gone exactly where they were meant to go, into the hands of people who can genuinely use them.
Not only have we helped local families, but we've also saved these items from ending up in landfill and given them a second life instead of seeing them sold on. That is what community is all about.
As the founder of Hope 4 Change, days like today genuinely warm my heart. While Hope 4 Change has had a pretty rough run over the last couple of years trying to find suitable locations to operate from, my team has never stopped showing up. They have gone above and beyond time and time again to continue supporting our community.
Some people may think I'm too emotional for this role. The truth is, I wear my heart on my sleeve and I say what I'm thinking. But in my eyes, those are exactly the qualities needed to run a charity. When you're constantly getting knocked down, facing obstacles and trying to keep helping others despite the challenges, you need heart. You need passion. You need determination.
I believe that if you want something badly enough, you work hard for it. I have never worked so hard to keep something going as I have with Hope 4 Change.
Then a day like today happens.
Not one loaf of bread left. Not even an apple.
Seeing the impact we've had on the Armadale community, day in and day out, reminds me exactly why we keep going.
I also want to thank every single person who supports us. Whether you've donated, volunteered, shared a post, left an encouraging comment or offered help, you have played a part in keeping Hope 4 Change alive. Without that support, I honestly don't know if I would have had the strength to keep pushing forward at times.
I've always believed that Hope 4 Change and our community form a beautiful circle of giving.
Hope 4 Change may be the charity, but **the community is the heart of it.**
Today proved that. β€οΈ
