On Sunday, 14th December 2025, Daso Foundation country Director for Nigeria, Pro Segun Obaro, led the Oyo State Volunteer Team into the heart of Ogbomoso North.

Our mission was clear, to bring hope, dignity, and love to the people in some of the most forgotten communities: Obamo, Afejewe, Ogogo, Ikoyi, and Oju Oja. Through our Love Your Neighbour Campaign, we distributed food palliatives — Rice, Beans, Tomato paste, Maggi, Salt and other vital supplies like bedsheets to widows, widowers, elderly citizens, orphans, and the less privileged.

This isn’t just charity. This is nation-building. This is the heart of Africa rising. When we, her sons and daughters, take responsibility for the streets and stories that the world ignores.

“The soul of a nation is seen in how it treats its forgotten people.”

In a time where many are focused only on headlines and high places, Daso Foundation continues to focus on grassroots transformation going where others don’t, serving those many have forgotten. This is the Nigeria we believe in: one where compassion is a currency, and communities are rebuilt by love in action.

As we close the year, our hearts are set in 2026, a year of expansion, impact, and deeper reach into the rural corners of Nigeria and across sub-Saharan Africa. The needs are great, but our vision is greater.

We invite more partners, volunteers, and sponsors to join hands with us. Africa will not rise by speeches alone, but by sacrificial seeds sown in love.

To every volunteer who walked those dusty roads with us, to every donor who believed in our mission, and to every heart we touched; thank you. We are not just giving food; we are awakening dignity.

The wonderful team of Volunteers from Daso Foundation were at Koji community, in Bassa Local Government area of Kogi State on 5th December 2025. This is in continuation of our Love thy neighbours Campaign. Getting to this community was quite challenging as we had to cross over River Niger by boat to get there.
Our joy is that we were able to share in the love of the festive season with this wonderful community.
