Healthy & Resilient in the Outback! 🍎

Thanks to Healthway we have some brilliant resources to support our Healthy Communities messaging across the Mid West, Gascoyne and Goldfields 🤸🏽‍♀️

With a focus on increased physical activity, healthy eating behaviours, smoking prevention and improved mental wellbeing the resources assist in teaching these simple yet effective health promotion messages ✌🏽

The banner is a great way to consolidate all the learnings in a fun and creative way, often proudly displayed for all the community to see 🥰

Bringing it in Broome 💥

Each week these legends run our Game On! Afterschool program at the Broome PCYC 🥳

They bring maximum energy to run all the favourite games, from boom ball to wedge-tailed eagle to dodgeball, with the aim of engaging as many local youth as possible ♥️

Our regional hubs create a sense of community and provide structure to the start of each week, consistently showing up every Monday night during the school term ✌🏽

Shout out to the legends at Tennis West for this awesome haul of pre-loved tennis racquets 🤸🏽‍♀️

We’re thrilled to be able to take these donations ready for the next generation of tennis stars as part of our Equip for Sport program 🙏🏽

By providing sports equipment such as this to those in need, more people can enjoy the benefits of participating in sport 🥰

Last week our team had the pleasure of attending a workshop hosted by Lung Smart to learn all things wet cough including key messaging and how this aligns with our Healthy Lungs program 👍🏼

The training was very informative and we really appreciate the efforts of the Lung Smart team helping us to ensure our programs are up to date and contain all of the correct health promotion messages 💪🏽

This week our team are running our Fit & Healthy in the Outback program in the Gascoyne communities of Burringurrah and Carnarvon 🏋🏽‍♀️
