CASSWA is a community of clarinet and saxophone enthusiasts that supports projects that will benefit clarinet and saxophone performance, provides opportunities for the exchange of ideas, materials and information among its members and encourages and promotes the learning, teaching and performance of a wide variety of repertoire and skills for the clarinet and saxophone community in Western Australia.

Cygnus Arioso invites you to Clarinet Visions, an evocative concert this Sunday celebrating the clarinet in all its expressive depth. The program brings together two extraordinary works, Messiaen’s transcendental Quartet for the End of Time and the WA premiere of Canticles by Perth composer Lachlan Skipworth.

The concert features Som Howie, associate principal of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, performing alongside Cygnus Arioso’s exceptional musicians. From Messiaen’s ecstatic visions to Skipworth’s newly imagined lyricism, this program offers a journey through the clarinet’s radiant voice in both classic and contemporary forms
