HARMONY DAY AT OCS
Earlier in the term, our school community came together to celebrate Harmony Day. We recognise the richness of diversity, the importance of belonging, and the way God calls us to love one another.
In Prep, students created a vibrant craft display featuring uniquely designed fish, each one different, yet all part of the same school. This served as a powerful reminder that while we are all unique, we are united as one community.
Our Primary students explored this message through a Harmony Day colouring competition, with awards presented at Assembly to celebrate their creativity and effort.
In Secondary, students engaged in meaningful Homeroom discussions centred on cultural diversity, reflecting on the importance of respect, empathy and understanding in our world.
A beautiful chalk artwork, created by students, captured the heart of the day, reminding us of how we are called to treat one another:
“We love because He first loved us.” (1 John 4:19)
It has been a special opportunity to celebrate that while we are all wonderfully unique, we belong, we are included, and we are deeply loved by God. Together, we are called to live in harmony as one community.
