🥎🧡 LEARNING THE ROPES — UMPIRE STYLE! 🖤🥎

It was great to see a fantastic turnout for our Umpiring Clinic on Sunday, with plenty of keen participants learning the ropes and building their confidence on the diamond!

From positioning and mechanics to understanding the rules and making those all-important calls, it was a great opportunity to develop skills and learn from experienced umpires.

A huge thank you to Leanne Gearside and Andrew Birks from Softball NSW for sharing their time, knowledge and expertise with our softball community.

And a big shout-out to our ODSA Umpiring Coordinator, Ben Medbury, for organising the clinic and helping create more opportunities for our umpires to learn and grow.

👏 Thanks to everyone who came along and got involved!

Great to see our umpiring community continuing to grow! 🧡🖤

🥎🧡 KANDOOZ NEEDS YOUR HELP! 🧡🥎

We’re disappointed to share that our Kandooz program is currently on hold as we haven’t yet been able to find a Coordinator for the 2026/27 season.

We would really love to see Kandooz back on the diamond this summer!

Kandooz is an important part of our softball community, providing an inclusive, welcoming and fun opportunity for our players to enjoy the game.

But we need someone to help make it happen!

🧡 You don’t have to do it alone! We’re happy for a small group to share the responsibilities, and ODSA will provide support and guidance along the way.

If you could help — or know someone who might be interested — please get in touch!

📧 Enquiries: [email protected]

We don’t want our Kandooz players to miss out this season. With a little help from our community, we can get Kandooz up and running again! 🧡🖤🥎
