2nd Orange Scout Group

18/07/2026

Morning families, today I will get the term fees sent out. If you get fees by mistake or other issues please send me a message. We will be having a group council in the new term and hopefully combine it with a committee meeting.

We are experience problems having enough leaders to cover all the activities, as some leaders are covering scouts and cubs and as you can imagine is allot of work. It maybe the case we will post messages about cancelling nights if we don't have enough leaders as there is a ratio of leader/youth we must comply with. So please make sure before you are dropped off there are leaders present.

If you have any capacity to assist as a leader, parent helper or committee please let me know ASAP. Unfortunately I have turned 5 families away recently as we can no longer take on any new youth, which you can imagine is hard as there are youth now missing out.

thanks
Shane

Our Scout section recently had a hiking weekend in the Wolgan Valley and Newnes Plateau (Glow Worm Tunnel) area. Five leaders and two members of the Golden West Fellowship accompanied them. This was a light-weigh hiking experience where the youth carried backpacks with the food and equipment required for two days of hiking. Fortunately the weather cleared up and we had a fantastic two days.
2nd Orange Scout Group caters for school aged youth from 5yrs to 18 years. Please contact us for further information.

We couldn’t be happier to support our friends at Orange Running Festival. Great community event and something for everyone to get involved.

Every year, local organisations and community groups come out in force to support the Orange Running Festival. 2023 is no exception. We are beyond grateful to Canobolas Zone NSW RFS, 2nd Orange Scout Group, Spring Terrace Public School, Spring Hill Public School, Orange Little Athletics and Cycling Without Age.

We couldn't do it without you!! Thank you!!
