🚗 Parking & Pedestrian Safety Reminder – Fraser Coast Sports Precinct 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️
The Fraser Coast Sports Precinct continues to grow in popularity, which is fantastic to see. With that growth comes an increased need to ensure the safety of all users accessing our facilities.
Over the coming weeks, Fraser Coast Regional Council will be undertaking parking enforcement activities throughout the precinct. This will include vehicles parked in areas not designated for parking, such as garden beds, landscaped areas, rock beds, access ways and other restricted locations.
The focus of this initiative is not simply compliance—it is primarily about: ✅ Pedestrian safety
✅ Maintaining clear access and egress routes
✅ Ensuring emergency vehicle access if required
✅ Protecting precinct infrastructure and landscaped areas
The Precinct User Group, of which HBNA is a participant, has discussed the introduction of appropriately signed overflow parking areas. These signs will direct motorists to the large paddock area located above the main roadway when regular parking reaches capacity.
We encourage all visitors to: • Park only in designated parking areas.
• Follow all signage and directions.
• Allow a little extra time on busy event days.
• Consider pedestrian safety when choosing where to park.
Thank you for helping keep the Fraser Coast Sports Precinct safe, accessible and welcoming for everyone who uses it.

Congrats Tobias. 🥈 proudly repping the "boys" of Hervey Bay. An ever increasing number of boys are competing. Hopefully one day soon HBNA can support boys competition. Thank you Coolum for providing Tobias this fantastic opportunity.

What a fantastic start to the HBNA 2026 Net Program! 🏐👏
Week 1 brought plenty of enthusiasm, energy and smiling faces as our young athletes hit the courts for the first session of the season.
A special welcome to all of our new players and parents joining the HBNA family. We hope you enjoyed the experience and can already see why netball is such a great sport for building confidence, friendships and skills.
The conditions were absolutely perfect today, although we can't promise 21°C and clear blue skies once we revert to our regular 8:00am start times as winter settles in! 😉❄️
A huge thank you also to our junior netball mentors who generously gave their time to assist and encourage the next generation of players. Your leadership and willingness to help is greatly appreciated.

In response to the many people who have approached HBNA asking how they can assist in delivering a wonderful, fun and inclusive netball experience for our community, we would like to facilitate an opportunity for the broader netball family to come together.
Rather than simply volunteering on the day, this is your opportunity to help shape and deliver the event itself. HBNA will provide its full support, resources and guidance, however the vision, ideas and direction will come from those willing to step forward and be part of the journey.
